History
Throughout its history, Ingram Micro has partnered its expertise in identifying the markets and technologies that shape the IT industry with its global distribution and logistics capabilities, demonstrating leadership within the information and communications technology marketplace.
The origin of Ingram Micro, founded by husband and wife, Geza Czige and Lorraine Mecca, in Southern California.
Ingram Micro quickly expanded nationwide and held its public offering.
Achieved more than $10 million in sales in one-day, as part of its “$2 Billion Bound” campaign.
Earned annual revenues of $12.02B.
Reached its highest level in annual revenues worldwide at $42.6 billion.
In its first full year of business, Micro achieved approximately $3.5 million in sales.
Ingram Micro became the first broad-based IT distributor to reach $1 billion in worldwide sales.
The company expanded the reach of its products and services to global markets. In this year, Ingram Micro offered its solutions throughout every major region in the world.

Matt has had a long and distinguished career at Ingram Micro since joining in 1994, holding senior leadership roles at a country and regional level in both EMEA and APAC since 2010. Having successfully managed some major turnaround projects over that period, Matt returned to lead the UK & Ireland operation in mid-2016 and joined the Ingram Micro Global Leadership team in 2019.

Ben joined Ingram Micro in 2016 as a Financial Business Partner, progressing through the business to his current role as Chief Financial Officer.

LinkedIn profile Maria joined Ingram in April 2014, leveraging both local and global experience gained in senior marketing roles at Unify, formerly Siemens Enterprise Communications, latterly as its Director of UK Marketing, Maria works alongside Ingram’s sales and commercial leadership team to drive aggressive market strategies, improve ROI for vendors, embed customer communities in the channel and leverage Ingram’s unique business intelligence capabilities.

LinkedIn profile Mike Joined Ingram Micro in 1998 as a Sales Manager. He moved to the Commercial function in 1999 and has held a number of roles of increasing responsibility across different disciplines including purchasing, product management, marketing and vendor management. Mike holds a BA and BPl in Town Planning from The University of Manchester.
Director, Advanced Solutions
LinkedIn profile Julian first joined Ingram Micro in 1995 as Account Manager. Julian was instrumental in supporting the launch of Ingram Micro’s Advanced Solutions division in 2013, assuming the role of Senior Director of Advanced Solutions. Thompson holds a BSC in Psychology and Law.

Director of HR
LinkedIn profile Alison joined Ingram in January 2020 as part of the local Leadership team but also part of the EMEA HR Leaderships team based out of Milton Keynes. Prior to Ingram she has been extremely impactful in transformation and change management at Santander Technology where she held the role of HR Director. More recently she worked for a Sales Promotion Company as HR Director, which was a greenfield site, where she utilized her in-depth HR knowledge. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Personnel and Development and a qualified personal development coach, which will be intrinsic in the on-going development of Ingram’s employees and local HR team.
Director of Operations
LinkedIn profile Gerry started his career at Ingram Micro UK 15 years ago as Inventory Manager in the Operations division and has progressed to Purchasing Director. The main pillars of Gerry's role are purchasing with intelligence, ensuring quick stock turnaround and sharing best practise across Europe. Gerry holds the Six Sigma Black Belt qualification.
Senior Manager, Business Operations
LinkedIn profile Sara joined Ingram in March 1999, originally in an Accounts Payable role, over the course of the next 8 years she worked in a number of finance areas gaining managerial and project experience. Sara now head up the Operations and manages shared servicing, business improvement projects, ecommerce & web, customer service, pricing and sales controlling. Sara holds a BA in Sociology, Psychology and English.
Director, Speciality Solutions
Raj began his career at Ingram Micro in 2012 to establish and lead the PRO AV business unit, In 2014 he assumed the role of Head of Europe for PRO AV. Raj came back to the UK in 2016 to lead the volume commercial division and later that year was appointed as General Manager for Retail and PRO AV.
Raj holds a BA in Business and Finance and has previously held various leadership positions within Sony UK.
Managing Director, Comms-care
In his role as Managing Director, Mark Forster is responsible for both the future direction of the business and retaining the current high standards our customers have come to expect from Comms-care on a day-to-day basis. Mark was previously the Operations Director and he has been instrumental in the development and growth of the organisation. With a background in the IT channel, Mark brings both experience and clear strategic focus to Comms-care.
Social Responsibility - Harrys Rainbow
Ingram Micro is proud to partner with and support a local charity each year and this year have chosen to work with Harry’s Rainbow.
Harry’s Story:
“From a perfectly healthy young boy, Harry suddenly became unwell in March 2009. His strength deteriorated at a rapid rate and was quickly put on life support. It wasn’t until doctors requested a head scan, that they found Harry had suffered massive brain stem damage. His parents were told he would not survive. On March 31st, 2009, Harry passed away.”
Harry’s Rainbow is committed to supporting bereaved children and their families in the Milton Keynes and surrounding area, who have suffered the loss of a parent or sibling. As well as providing information and guidance on their website and social networking sites. They also provide various bereavement support services, including regular support groups, activities/trips, and individual tailored support as appropriate.
