Ingram Micro extends partnership with McAfee

May 08, 2019

April 2019 - Ingram Micro today announced an extended partnership with device-to-cloud cybersecurity company McAfee. This close collaboration demonstrates both companies’ commitment to supporting and investing in the UK and Ireland channel so partners can help customers protect data and systems from the rapidly expanding threat landscape – both today and in future.

The partnership will include investment in a team of highly skilled internal and external sales individuals, best in class sales operations and marketing teams and, above all, technical resource – from pre-sales solutions architects to post-sales implementation engineers.

Matt Sanderson, UKI Managing Director at Ingram Micro, commented: “We are excited to be working alongside McAfee. This investment ensures that we are producing the best opportunities for your customers. By utilising the McAfee Data Exchange Layer framework, Threat Intelligence Exchange and “non- proprietary backbone”, partners can help customers deliver the most resilient security posture across all environments, including on-premise, hybrid cloud or full cloud.”

He continued: “We are committed to ensuring that individuals and businesses can maximise technological advancements safely, safeguarding users and enabling those responsible for the security of the business to respond to any threats in the quickest and most effective manner possible.”

Customers are increasingly turning to the cloud as a strategy for business growth. As Ingram Micro partners look ahead to the next two years, many identify the cloud as beneficial for either growing their business or using it as a strategic asset to react more quickly to market shifts, deliver new products and services faster and get ahead of the competition.

Scott Murphy, Director of Cloud and Advanced Solutions UKI at Ingram Micro, said: “Our vision is to evolve the way distribution helps our partners address customer challenges through multi-vendor solutions and services. As the cloud landscape is evolving, we are ensuring that we are at the forefront of the change which will impact our partners. That is why we have recently launched a dedicated cybersecurity business unit to meet the growing security demands from channel partners and users.”

He continued: “Our partnership with McAfee will enable us to provide next-generation security solutions from McAfee in tandem with Ingram Micro’s formidable service capabilities.”

“At McAfee, we put the customer at the core of everything we do,” said Ed Baker, EMEA Channel director at McAfee. “Combining this customer-first approach with McAfee’s close partner collaboration and device-to-cloud innovation is the key to our success. It enables McAfee and our partner network to provide the cybersecurity solutions and expertise that businesses depend on today. We are delighted to work closely with Ingram Micro in our drive to support partners and customers by providing the vision, architecture and support to build the proactive, platform-based and integrated cybersecurity systems required today to protect data, detect threats and, when targeted, correct systems quickly.”
