Ingram Micro’s Physical Security unit couldn’t be in safer hands

07 August 2020

We’re delighted to officially announce the appointment of Jayne Broadbent as Business Manager for our Physical Security business unit. Her arrival at Ingram Micro couldn’t be more timely. With Covid-19 still very much a daily challenge for almost any type of business, the need to maintain public and employee safety is greater than ever. As is the need to help businesses get back on their feet as efficiently as possible.

With the Physical Security business unit having grown 100%, year-on-year since it started, and given Jayne’s impressive 17-year background in sales, she is acutely aware of the growth potential within Ingram Micro’s Physical Security offering. And she is determined to maximise the opportunities this brings.

We’re in a unique position to leverage our end-to-end point of difference in a marketplace where product competition is high, but where few (if any) providers can offer the full level of support we can,” Jayne said. “We’re here to empower resellers with products that are fit for purpose, and then support them and their customers throughout their journeys with services that add measurable value.”

Unique challenges call for unique platforms

The global pandemic we now face presents an ever-changing set of public health regulations. Both the private and public sectors will need to be at the top of their game to remain compliant in their ‘back to work’ strategies.

Here, Ingram Micro is helping to lead the way in keeping people safe at work. In a joint venture with HPE and DatumCom, the newly launched “Detection Solution for COVID-19 Mitigation” is a fully integrated, ‘deployment-ready’, automated mass thermal monitoring and reporting solution that equips organisations with the tools they need to optimize health and wellbeing across their sites.

Powerful tools and services

For a division that is only now completing its third year, Ingram Micro’s Physical Security offering is clearly powered by some impressive technology... something Jayne Broadbent is greatly looking forward to promoting.

The breadth of our solution makes it easier for IT resellers and security dealers to shift to Internet Protocol security technology, giving their customers a complete video surveillance and access control solution, with a networking and storage infrastructure, all from a single source. It’s a win-win,” Jayne said.

Ingram Micro's broad range of products and IT expertise enables both IT resellers and traditional security dealers to transition smoothly to IP-based security technology, and to effectively market, sell and service fully integrated solutions to their customers

Physical Security partners also benefit from the business unit's supplementary service features, including SecurityWerx training sessions, quarterly IP training, a specialized team of account executives and business development managers, as well as live and remote demonstrations through the Ingram Micro Training Academy.

Secure and productive partnerships

Ingram Micro’s Physical Security unit recently welcomed Quanika and Camstreamer to its range, partnering the Axis camera systems. It also offers a superb product in the Galaxy range of cameras; soon launching their new range of Spyware security cameras exclusively through Ingram Micro. Additionally the team recently partnered with SilverNet - offering high quality wireless network equipment – as well as Veracity’s IP video surveillance equipment.

Raj Pandya, Ingram Micro’s Director, Specialty Solutions, said: Jayne is primed and ready for the challenge ahead. The PS sector is recovering well and is continuing to improve post lockdown. I’m looking forward to working with Jayne to help and support current and new resellers who may have suffered from lack of business through this difficult year, and assisting them in getting back on their feet with some great financial solutions.”
